Ok, this was going to be favourite album, but I think even over the course of a day, that would shift, so I wondered what peoples favourite groups of albums would be smile Shall we say top 5?

The rules are -

1) Be honest. If you happen to have a particular emotional attachment to Aquarium, admit it! Don't pretend you'd be listening to a rare, boundary pushing 1970s prog-folk-protodub instead.

2) This applies to overall albums. Anything you bought for one track alone doesn't count smile

......so?

Tough question. A top 20 I could easily but it's hard working out the 5 I listen to the most. Off the top of my head they're probably:

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Guns N Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Jane's Addiction - Nothing's Shocking
Aerosmith - Rocks
Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street

Ok, coming back to this mine would be (in no particular order)

1. Aynsley Lister - Everything I need
2. Guns'n'Roses - Use Your illusion (I'm going to cheat here because I can't decide between 1&2)
3. Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals
4. Third Eye Blind - self titled (classic example of what I said before, arguably lacks standout tracks, but it just flows so damn well)
5. The Verve - Urban Hymns

Doh! Think I'd need atleast 10, some more would be,

Stereophonics - Performance and cocktails, similar reasoning to the third eye blind album
Jimmy Eat World - Futures and Bleed American
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Led Zep IV
Appetite for destruction

Loads more I can't think of right now.....

Performance and cocktails seems to be doing rather well smile

I prefer some of the songs on Word Gets Around, but the 2nd album just works so well as a whole. Whilst it doesn't have anything as good as 1000 Trees or Local Boy In The Photograph, it doesn't have any duds either.

Jesus..... just realised I forgot Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore, need to add that one in there!!

Soul II Soul - Keep on Moving
Steve Winwood - Roll With It

Bet they all look dead naff but I am being honest..! Feeling nostalgic for my wonder years and the eighties!

1) The Black Crowes - Southern Harmony & Musical Companion
2) Kyuss - All of them, can't choose
3) Solace - Further
4) Stone Temple Pilots - Purple
5) The Tea Party - Splendor Solis

Of course this is a 'floating' list, some of them will have changed by next week.
