A mate of mie has just bought the latest and greatest Logic for £970 or so

Think I'll be going round his house for recording in future.

The upgrade cost is quite reasonable now.

Im thinking of buying this.. Been a cubase/Motu Digital performer user for a while. But I never quite got the hang of DP. But I know quite a few people using Logic, so im sure they could help me out here n there. £320 seems like quite the deal.

I upgraded from Logic 5 (PC) at the time - and that's the same price to upgrade from as for 7 (I could be wrong though - I'll look into it more closely next month).

I originally was on Logic (from 3.5), then got to 5.5 before Apple bought Emagic. Apple were offering £200 off a Mac, and Steinberg offered a £200 "cross-grade" to convert over. I didn't have the cash to buy a Mac at the time, so I went with Steinberg (and their Reason interface was much better). But I never really got to grips with it in the same way that I did Logic.

So when I got my Mac, I also got Logic to get back into it (and also upgraded Reason - so that'll be /another/ thing to get!)
