Just interested to know whether I have invented the most ghetto home recording (and longest winded) home recording set up ever.

- Recording 'on the go' using a portable Sony MD player with mic input/recording facility
- Get home and write out lyrics/melody
- play/sing and set up drum machine and record on to an MD
- put MD in MD separate (Sony MDS JE330) and play through loudspeakers
- Layer lead guitar part / backing vocals into portable MD
- Use terratec preamp ivinyl analogue to digital converter hardware to load music on to my pc
- Use terratec software to clean signal and remove any hiss or crackle
- save as mp3

What's everyone else doing on a a super budget? (the whole lot cost me under £50..)

Erm how's about: Mobile hands free mic clipped to sound board, set phone's sound recorder going and hey-presto.

Not long winded, but certainly ghetto! hehe

Usually sitting in the most obvious spot in the bathroom... for the acoustics you see. rolleyes
