Much maligned genre IMHO. It's not sexy and exciting, but beautiful melodies.

Stuff like this, really washes over with nice tunes:

Lush - 500 (Shake Baby Shake) about the Fiat 500

Slowdive - Catch The Breeze
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPq7J7od_HI

Catherine Wheel - I Want To Touch You - the harder edge of shoegazing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg7-mRXg5wk

MBV - Sometimes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0nPSy1-UXE

Engineers - Home (modern shoegazing)

Anyone else a (not so) closet shoegazer?

Wow, some great memories there. Ah, the early 90s smile

How about Chapterhouse ? Falling down.

They also had a track on "Lost in Translation" I think, full of great SG tracks as Kevin Shields is God of course.

Favest MBV track ever ..

Saw them, The JAMC, Dinorsaur Jr and Blur (who were shite) at the Sheffield Arena in 1992. My ears have never recovered !
