Avenge Sevenfold. I'd always dismissed them for some reason, but this year I reckon they'll be in my top 5 most played.

I clicked a random link in YouTube for a track "Moon" by "Kid Francescoli" and liked it so looked up the album it's off called "Play Me Again" which I really enjoyed. A sort of chilled easy listening French electronica act.

Khruangbin.

A trio with a light jazz / Eastern feel to the tunes, but almost impossible to pigeonhole.

Mark, on guitar, has a very light touch but a really good ear for what sounds good both harmonically and melodically.
