Gilmour - Albert Hall
Discussion
I stumbled across this a few weeks ago, had no idea he was touring again. I am not a social media user so only found it under a Youtube video.
Obviously, it is sold out, but is there any way one can get a ticket? Not been to a concert for years, so not savvy with how concert tickets work. I suspect being what he is, there is zero chance.
I was at Pulse in 95, but I really fancy going to see him again as I feel there can't be many more performances on the horizon.

If you read the RAH info for these shows, there is no resale permitted:
https://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/202...
Your only hope will be to contact the RAH & ask about cancellations - phone daily.

Yeah the Viagogo site looks dodgy as hell, "meet the seller" etc. No thanks.
So I wonder what happens when tickets are released, and who gets them, presumably a large section of the fan base are primed to know when they go on sale and they all go within 30 mins. Shame as it means everyone misses out.

I bought tickets for a Khruangbin gig in November. Bought them via Eventim in March. I still don't have the tickets or even a confirming email, literally no evidence of a purchase other than the payment showing on my bank statement. It's impossible to get through to them. Eventually found a note under my purchase history which said tickets will be issued nearer the date. I suppose it prevents resale etc but I just don't like it. Yes sounds poor, I also found vivid tickets which says "only 2 left" -seems suspicious. I am quite happy to pay an inflated price, as long as it is genuine and gets me through the door. Tickets on Viagogo are showing at £800 for 2 people, I would pay it. I also looked at boxes, 2500 for 4 people, I would pay that too however can't see any availability.

What is viagogo... are they legitimate?
Nothing but trouble when I used them on two separate occasions. Pulse is my favourite album. Not at all jealous that you were there. Nope. Not one bit.
Only a small point but one you may or may not appreciate learning.
Cheers.
I was 13 at Pulse, we went the night the stand collapses so had to go again. I remember vividly. I think I dozed off at the start of comfortably numb but remember coming round with goosebumps when the guitar solo started, must have been around 2245 ish at that point. I was already an unsual Floyd fan before we went so I was familiar with the music and all things Floyd. I didn't really go to concerts much after that, the whole experience was just unrivalled.

Appropriate sleeping and waking moments! It's a very soporific chord progression, and the first solo is one of the greatest ever recorded (Rick Beato agrees https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV-y91BZonY at 16:53)

I had tickets for that night but had an unmissable meeting so my wife took a friend. Got to see the re-scheduled gig.I saw him at the Albert Hall in 2015 and it was worth every penny and the tickets were reasonably priced. I have not bothered with the latest dates but I am sure they will be very good.

WOO HOO! Called the box office, got a ticket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A late congratulations from me too.....I went in ?2015 and absolutely appreciate him as a musician, no question, but not an artist. (I know Waters said that recently but he's right).
I just find him to lacking in self awareness, the way Polly suckered him into that monstrous Brighton house that he probably never spent a day in and was put up for sale almost immediately, how he credits Polly as his lyricist ("the girl in the yellow dress????") etc. etc. I just feel a bit sorry for him.
Maybe he's happier now than when spending time with RW, but great art often comes from conflict, not from cosy family jamming sessions.
