I know this has been rumoured for years and it's looked unlikely to happen, but I've said all along... whatever it costs, I'll be there.

Saw them in 2002, 4 days after they released The Hindu Times and I've never been to a gig like it since. There's nothing like being in a 50,000 strong crowd all singing the same thing.

Fingers crossed it's not false hope this time.

The time was always going to arrive when the money was too much to say no to. Introduce a costly divorce and two old boys who’ve realised there’s no other way they’ll hit the euphoria of a 100,000 strong crowd again and hello £10k a ticket on popular reselling sites biggrin

Always gonna happen

I've seen Noel live and an Oasis tribute band -a notably thuggish crowd.

Cynical as I am, I have often wondered whether they have actually been on perfectly good terms for years. They were just waiting until the payday was big enough to reform.

Noel’s divorce and a £20million payoff to his ex is the likely trigger. Still, should be fun.

Wonder if they’ll do knebworth again?
I went in 96 and don’t remember much about it at all!
We live quite local and my wife just walked into the local record shop( remember those?!) and purchased the tickets-still have them somewhere but I bet it was only 20 odd quid a pop!

Rumours so far suggest 10 nights at Wembley, some nights at Heaton Park in Manchester, perhaps Glastonbury. I’d guess some European dates too, maybe festival based.

Brilliant news if it happens.

Will aim for the first night at Wembley, in case they argue and then sack off the following 9.

I was at the first night of the Stone Roses reunion at Heaton Park and the whole of Manchester was absolutely flying that weekend, this would be on another level again.

I’ll be there! Manchester for me!

Internet is awash with rumours Noel is going to appear on stage at Reading this evening

Apparently Liam has wanted to reform Oasis for many years, mainly for financial reasons, but Noel always refused. Partly because it was him who broke up the band when he decided he could no longer work with his younger brother, and partly because he didn’t need the money. As the main songwriter Noel got the lions share of the royalties, including a nice payday every time Liam performed his songs on his solo tours.

Now, after a very expensive divorce, Noel has decided he might be able to work with Liam again. We’ll see how long that lasts. The Eagles managed to work together again in order to cash in, as did the Police. But, after Pink Floyd’s final performance at the Live 8 charity gig reminded Gilmour & Waters how much they despised each other, they turned down offers of hundreds of millions to do a global stadium tour.

Yep Liam, Oasis and Noel just posted the same video.

Massive Oasis fan, love Liam's solo stuff and don't mind Noel's.

I'm hoping they play other countries, I prefer to go abroad for gigs these days.

I've seen Liam twice in Germany and twice he's cancelled on us haha.

I hate Heaton park been a few gigs there. I also hate Knebworth, saw Liam there what a pain in the rear.

Oasis, Liam and Noel have all posted the same thing.

27-08-2024, 8am.

If this is a greatest hits album announcement or a release of some old live show I’m never looking at the internet again.

Bonehead will be involved he's in Liam's tour group. Gem Archer was also Beady Eye and now NGHFB. So they are sorted for guitar players, if not John Squire might fancy it.
