Unlikely cars in music videos
Discussion
Many a music video is enhanced by the appearance of some choice vehicles, with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches and other high end cars routinely used to bring some glitz and glamour to the shoot.
But what about the oddballs? The cars that seem to be a long way from being an object of envy or desire...
First up, I give you Tori Amos's 1998 video to Spark, which features the somewhat dubious charms of the Austin Maxi

What have you spotted in the background of popular tracks?

This excellent video by the Flying Lizards has a couple of cars being crashed, one is a Jag XJ6 and the other a Mk1 Granada.

A few weeks ago in another thread someone showed a music vid with nothing less that a Chrysler 180 in it!
Funny that as my dad had both a Maxi and then a Chrysler 180. The Maxi was the better car!
...an obvious mention is the SD1 in the Human League vid

They seem to appear in quite a few recent ads which is surprising considering their scarcity and it's a bit of a joke between me and some friends spotting them. My mate is currently winning as one appeared for literally 1/2 second on some aftershave ad last year.
It's funny how we have different memories of old cars - we never had a 180 as even in the day, they were known for camshafts to need changing more often than the oil but the 2 litre didn't suffer that and was one of the better cars my dad had in the day. He briefly had a Maxi but even if it was a good car, my dad was very anti BL for some reason. As a kid, I remember the Maxi having a great ride.

The rather tidy 1986 XR2 in this video belongs to my brother.

The car footage in that is from the second Sweeney spin off film, imaginatively titled 'Sweeney 2'.andySC said:

What's the car being driven by the lovely Corinne Drewery in this vid (actual question as I genuinely don't know)?

That video (which I agree is excellent) has always reminded me a bit of the Art of Noise, and, to a lesser extent, Devo.James Blunt - Porsche 928 (appears around 1.42).
Lovely 4.7 manual.
