Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton - catch them if you can!
Discussion
Saw them last night in Bournemouth, and that was some gig.
If you like your blues/rock loud with an edge (a twist of country, a pinch of Townes Van Zandt and a dose of cigar box guitar) you'll love their collaboration live. It's been a long time since I've seen a couple of (such different, and brilliant) guitarists riffing off each other so well.
Terrific band too, with Ron Johnson on bass again. Great fun... and my ears will be ringing into next week to remind me.
Just 3 dates left on this UK tour; there are tickets still available for Bexhill (tonight), Birmingham and London (100 Club) I think.
And a shout out for The Commoners supporting too; tight Canadian rockers with a melodic southern tone (vibes of Black Crowes meets Skynyrd with a style of their own) and some catchy songs.
