Announced a one off gig out the blue Monday and I managed to get some ticks in block 120 at Wembley!

Price (and rip off fees) is eye watering but it's Blur and I didn't want to see price differences and lose ticket options.

I must say you pay though the nose on Ticketmaster but the queueing functionality is pretty good.

Prices on SeeTickets are £77.65 for the nosebleeds all the bay up to £146.75 for the Golden Circle. I think there’s a booking fee on top of that too.

They play Beauregard festival the Thursday before. A day ticket for that is about £50 & gets you day out in France & twenty other bands. I'd like to see Blur, never got round to it before but £100+ is cynical pricing. With a full house, they'll take about £9m before costs, excluding more for booking fees, merch etc.

ooh nice one - hope enjoy!.
Managed to see them at Cliffs Pavillion, Southend on their last comeback only about 1700 att....must've been 2009 blimey

So, so much better to see band at a smaller venues. I think when you get to Wembley Arena size it's about as big as you can go. Also went to Hyde Park to see them that summer. Not sure I'm going to pursue Wembley stadium for this one, Wembley Pitch side is ok, if you can get them, but getting in and getting out is so awful, just takes it away from the overall feel of the event.

Will keep an eye out for any warm up shows!

Snapped up 2 x Block 117 for £217 all in. Quite happy with that, as much for the fact it'll be a good excuse to palm the 4 x kids off to a parent and have a night out just the 2 of us, as anything else.

A bit different to the last time I saw them, back in 2001. Mrs Strange knows Dave Rowntree's mum (we are all local to each other), and she pulled some strings and got us some VIP passes for a gig at the London Astoria (iirc). The band put on a car for us, we went for a meal with Dave before the gig, and then watched the gig from the balcony with all the VIPS, and then went to the after party, before getting a car home. I was about 21, and can remember getting smashed sitting at a table with Kate Moss drinking absynthe cocktails, whilst Mrs Strange was off trying to get as many kisses from Alex James as she could rofl

Cool story bro etc, but I've still got the pass upstairs somewhere.

I saw Blur first time at Wembley Arena, that was for a first gig of mine unreal. I took a bird who never really was into Indie but she went off her head all evening.

I'll never forget as well jumping the queue outside (without realising).

Also went to Hyde in 2012 and sat about in the absolute belting sunshine, it was a funny gig as everyone was sitting about before all middle class and sipping pimms etc then as soon as they came on it turned into an absolute rumble, we felt a bit awkward tbh so we've gone seating for next year.

I'm in block 120 which is "pitch side", Coldplay was ok from here so looking really forward to it.

WOW, this is so good it sounds made up. And at 21, must had been a ridiculous night.

Dave is into his flying isn't he, does he still live in Braintree? Alex has always been the funny one, we bought some cheese a few Christmas's ago and it's really good although a bit steep.

I'm in 120, looks like you got in 30 seconds before me in the queue!

Managed to get a standing ticket for this. Saw them at Glastonbury in 2009 which was pretty special.

Also managed to get Pulp tickets for the following Wednesday.

Currently trying to resist Shed Seven and Cast in Leeds the following Saturday.

Would imagine Blur and Pull might be at Glastonbury with these mini come backs this year.

Always weird going to gigs of bands from your teenage years. You wonder why there's so many middle aged people there, then realize you're one of them!

Shed Seven tickets are a bargain, especially with Cast supporting. That’ll be the best £35 you could spend.

Yep, Shed Seven are so good live.

Me and the brother in law managed to buy 6 x Standing tickets for Blur each at the same time. So now need to shift some 😂

Also at Pulp in Sheffield the weekend after. Gonna be like 1996 all over again!
