Just got back from the Odeon Imax, having watched Moonage Daydream. As a near life long Bowie fan ( I was one of those who watched his 1972 Starman slot on TOTP) I have to say that if you are remotely interested in his career then this is a must watch film, I have seen a lot of the tracks and concerts on You tube and the like, but seeing it together one after another , charting his work, really shows how talented and fantastic he was. Highly recommended …..I’m going again next week!

Looking forward to it.

I'm of same generation as you and Bowie is one of a handful of artists who are threaded through my life.

He seemed both extraordinary and very relatable at the same time. Barely a candid photo of him without a broad smile. Chose amazing collaborators.

Next best Bowie film here (a bit NSFW)

Well it didn't I'm afraid. Yes, there's some great previously unseen footage, but I found it very frenetic and difficult to watch. Much as I loved Bowie, like most rock gods, he did spout some self indulgent claptrap, that we had to sit thru. It left me feeling exhausted, it was like a 2 hour trailer for an action movie.

It's on Channel 4 at 10:10 tonight. Just so happened to be looking up 4K Blu-rays of this today. Some coincidence that. Look forward to rewatching!

I am a huge Bowie fan and I was angry after I left the theater. The director got the keys to the vault and we get endless escalator shots from the ricochet promo video!?! The worst was voice overs from Bowie that were presented as his thoughts, but were actually lines he spoke as a character in a movie or an art critique.. A dishonest "documentary".
