I’ve just had a notification that an artist I really like is going on tour later this year, the first time in 6 years.
He’s playing a relatively small venue and is quite boisterous and there will be a mosh pit!
However I’m old enough to be his dad!
Should I be worried about being the oldest (and probably fattest) one there?

If it's Rod Stewart, I'd give it a miss biggrin

Sometimes I feel a bit out of place at a gig, but if you enjoy it, who the hell cares?

M

PS Perhaps I should stop going to Billie Eyewash gigs biggrin (Joke)

The only thing in life that is important is being you

Never ever be concerned about what others think of you if you're a good human being

I went to see Snuff on Tuesday night and there were plenty there that were older than me (56).

I was disappointed at the lack of mosh pit

One of my most memorable gigs was seeing Snuff in the back room of the Racehorse pub in Northampton - must have been around 1995. Went with a mate from school who lived nearby.

We were a couple of pretty regular looking 18 year olds surrounded by all these old punks with mohawks that came from nowhere. We were the ones who should have stood out but it was great fun.

Went to Jamie T last night and I wasn’t the oldest! (although possibly the fattest)
The guy next to me in the disabled area was 10 years older!
I have to say it was extremely boisterous, and even if I’ve been in my 20s, I would’ve found the standing area a bit too extreme for me!
I can’t think of many gigs in the last 40 years, I’ve been going to them, that I’ve been so enthusiastic!
