Decent "beginner" keyboard?
Discussion
Like many, I played a lot in my teens before I discovered computer games/ beer and had a whole lot of gear that was wasted on someone with my lack of commitment.
Fast forwardten twenty years and I have taken unholy amounts of joy from a £50 Yamaha Pacifica I picked up locally. I'd been keeping an eye out for one as they were always decent starter electrics and as such, always get passed on when people upgrade / give up altogether. But there's nowt wrong with them and I'm having more fun now that I did with my Parker and Mesa back in the day (also- how good are practice amps these days!?). If I sell it I can hardly lose money on it, and if stolen it's beer money.
Is there a similar keyboard?
I'd be looking for an unweighted thing that I can use for music theory more than anything. Doesn't need to be 88 keys in fact smaller would be better, but I don't really know anything about the market for keyboard players.
Is there a bog-standard answer for decent quality keyboards that won't depreciate, or does it split into MIDI controller/synth territory really quickly?
