How To Identify A Tune

I have a tune in my head. Been there for months, if not years. Shazam and other such toss is of no help.

I think it's a UK chart single of the 1970's, and I know the tune, but that's it. Possibly something about Spain (not Viva España). It has the easy listening vibe of being a Two Ronnies or Morecambe & Wise interlude, but it was played more often than just that.

Where do I go next to find out what it was?
