Paying the price for gross mismanagement and poor quality. We have 2 Gibsons in the family, but I'd still laugh my socks off if Fender took them over.

I have read suggestions that Gibson's problems stem from decisions in 2014 to expand into seemingly unrelated areas of consumer electronics:

They seem to have had a recent return to form in terms of guitar quality, with the last couple of years of epiphone Les Paul production being particularly good.

Proof that if you want to sell Lada Rivas in an age of McLaren P1s, then you should at least make sure the Lada is well screwed together.
