Heard of this for the first time tonight,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85bkCmaOh4o

Its like every 80s film, Miami Vice style driving music, well worth a listen, an into various Ambient acts like Boards of Canada and its like a less experimental version of what they do, reminds me of Got Glint ? by the Chemical Brothers.

My new favourite thing, been listening to a load of Northern Soul but it didnt really grab me, this does.

This is great stuff Jacko and liking it a lot, thanks for posting this up. A lot more investigation needed in to this genre as it is exactly my sort of thing, nothing startlingly new but as you say a great 80's feel without the naff.

No problem,

Some of it is a bit too cheesy but by and large, loving it.

Lots of influences like YMO, Vangellis, Alan Parsons Project, Harold Faltermeyer, various film music and every 80s Arcade machine ever, just listening to one that seems to have the wave sounds from Outrun in it, total 80s overload, excellent driving music.

Your link video is gone, but yes, I do like a bit of this. A lot of instrumental stuff to wade through, and it can get a bit much after a while, but great in short bursts! The Gunship album is one of the best - decent songwriting and the classic 80s sound.

Very much a trend at the moment but unusually I actually like it. I've not delved into it much yet but enjoying Pertubator mainly - and a few othere artists on Blood Music.

..and the Stranger Things Soundtrack, of course.
