Awwwww Koss! Not sure what video/dvd material is still available for live Free but I found this the other day....superb.

I enjoyed the you tube song / images. I also watched live footage from 1970 at the Granada studios on you tube. Tremendous stuff. I can't think of a more genuine band than Free. They really seemed to live and believe in every part of what they played. No pretence, no glossy over production. They really were 'Free 'n' Easy, Rough 'n' Ready' - meant in the nicest possible way of course.
I think the belief that Koss put more emotion into a single note etc has been around for decades, but still rings true today. I listened to 'Magic Ship' and 'Catch A Train' today whilst doing some chores. I certainly had a lump in my throat.
There were and are many more sophisticated bands around but I can't think of any that convey emotion as well as Free.
