So, about 5 or 6 years ago, I discover the music of 'The Lost Prophets', and I like very much.

I buy all their albums, and go to see them live on two occasions.

Then a few days ago, I find this:

The lead singer of the Lost Prophets, Ian Watkins, arrested over sick child porn

I'm really upset, because they're one of my favourite bands. I have all their albums.

Do I throw all the CD's in the bin, or what? My immediate reaction is to do so, then I think 'it was only him, and not the rest of the band!'

Their website has been taken down, with the remaining band members stating their shock at this arrest, and that it was a complete surprise, etc.

Anyone else with LP albums? And what do you think of this?

Always thought he was a knob. Never liked the band... So I'm not that bothered.

What's Ian Watkins' favourite chord?

A Minor.

Seriously though, the music is seperate to the depraved actions of one band member. Like you said, it's just him and think how the rest of the band must feel about it. If I found out that Lemmy was a kiddie fiddler I still wouldn't get rid of my Motorhead albums. On another topic Ray, I don't suppose you work in the yacht business per chance?

'He stands accused of two incidents of conspiring to engage in sexual touching with two young children; possessing, making and distributing indecent images; and possessing "extreme" animal pornography.'.....guessing that last bit involves sheep .....maybe lambs in this case.....

I agree, but it doesn't look good - he's been remanded in custody until the 30th December and boint-blank refused bail despite his Mother offering to put her house up as surety.

The magistrates wouldn't do that lightly. frown

TBH They passed me by. I still couldn't name an LP song & wouldn't know if one punched me in the nose. However, out & out deviancy aside, Sting made an interesting observation about being a pop star which was essentially that no one ever said no to you.

Whatever you wanted or did, the people around you so wanted to bask in reflected glory or steal all your money etc. that in essence any behaviour at all becomes ok.

I'm surprised we don't see more stars up before the beak. Although lately, celeb life does seem to be turning into one big paedo advent calender.

I thought 'A town called hypocrisy' was really good, but that's about it.

They were my 15yr old son favourite band and he is gutted
I was in the process of framing a signed t-shirt from watkins and the band with photos of my lad with the bandrolleyes

took my lad to see them twice and to be fair they put on a great show ,, and while at a signing at reading festival the organisers called time after an hour singing which meant a lot of people did not get in.. but fair play the band lead by Watkins climbed over the barrier to meet all the fans that were turned away my son included which made his day

Feel sorry for the rest of the band , I doubt they will be played on the radio again , as for Watkin he needs a sunroof punched in his headrage

Well, if he's found guilty of what he's charged with (And I a firm believer in waiting for the process to take its course), I'd suggest the other band members change their names and start a different career.

'Tainted' will not go a 100th of the way to covering it...

4am forever was half decent, I bought the cd on the strength of hearing the song on the radio. I'd say they were ok, nothing special, background music.
