Never heard of this guy before last week, but being a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Robert Cray I leapt at the chance of seeing him live at the Hard Rock in Fort Lauderdale FL. Well, I was blown away, anybody who's a fan of rock/blues should check him out, this is what you missing

One word... AMAZING! The OH & I went to see him at The Brighton Centre 23rd March this year and he was just awesome. We're going to see him again at The Royal Albert Hall in March 2013 and I cant wait

His show on Planet Rock is really good too.

My fave song of his has to be Sloe Gin

I'm a big JB fan, seen him twice now, been superb both times.

I'd highly reccommend checking out his albums 'Sloe Gin' and 'Live From Nowhere In Particular'. The version of India/Mountain Time from the latter is stunning.

I've got quite a few albums and have seen JB in a fairly small venue, which was fantastic.

If you like JB and veering slightly off track, I saw a young guitarist play in Norwich at the weekend named Oli Brown.

If you like that rock/blues crossover JB hits the mark perfectly.... I've got and like most of his stuff, so a highlights are hard to choose (for DVD's I'd particularly recommend 'JB live at Rock Palast' and 'JB Live from The Royal Albert Hall'....). If you like your classic rock and are/were a fan of Deep Purple (Mk IV) you may want to check out 'Black Country Communion' if you haven't already - Glenn Hughes (bass and vocals), Jason Bonham on drums.... and JB playing full on rock guitar! A great combination....

I first saw Oli Brown supporting Walter Trout at The Robin 2 in Bilston a couple of years ago... (surpassed him by far in my opinion). His first album 'Open Road' in particular (and I suppose 'Heads I Win Tails You Lose' ) score a '10 out of 10' on pretty much every track in my book.... can't beat that!

I am a big fan - he is a brilliant guitarist, and not too bad at the whole singing thing either.

I recommend you get the 2 disc Live From Nowhere Inparticular album and listen to it from start to finish. As loud as possible

Saw him earlier this year in Nottingham. Concert had been postponed from last year and I saw on the day of the gig that it was on and fancied some music action so took my Son to see him - was a very good show. Highly recommended.
