Given as my work hasn't given us Christmas Eve morning off, so forcing us who have no holiday left to come in for four hours, I'm going to put together a playlist for us to have on in the office to make us feel a bit festive.

We'd like to play some songs that are outside the usual Christmas song playlist (Wham!, Wizzard, Pogues, Slade, Greg Lake etc.). We've got a few, but as always, I hope the PH music collective can deliver...

My submission was Christmas is Awesome by Reuben:

Any other suggestions? smile

There are bundles of them. Very shrewd move doing a Christmas song. If yours becomes one of the select few that get played to death every year, it's money for life.

No wonder they're all at it. smile

Jethro Tull's "A Christmas Song" is good for cutting through the "ho ho ho" atmosphere. Also Greg Lake's "I Believe In Father Christmas", to a lesser extent.

I'm in a particular anti-Christmas mood - yesterday I was trapped in a bar with VH1 playing on the telly and I heard, in succession, the following songs:

Paul McCartney "Wonderful Christmastime"
Spice Girls "Two Become One"
Wham "Last Christmas"
Mariah Carey "All I Want For Christmas Is You"
something by Take That
East 17 "Stay"

I swear I was ready for opening an artery, when I was saved by Wizzard.
