Heard it leaked last night by some French radio station, thought it was awful.

Listened to it again this morning, still think same, awful.

Worst Bond theme ever. Makes me want to get in a hot bath with razor blades every time I hear her depressing warbling though.

Not heard it but I think I heard it was a toss up between her and Muse. Shame Muse wasn't chosen.

As a Bond theme, it ticks all the boxes. Chorus is a bit weak in the version pit out today, but a bit of tweaking will sort that out. Nothing new or extraordinary though. Adele was a safe choice, a 21st Century Shirley Bassey.

Very formulaic, nothing offensive but will be forgotten as soon as the film is out of the cinema. It's nowhere near as awful as the Madonna one.

I've always thought Muse should have done a Bond theme.

I quite like it.

I've always wanted this one to be used as a Bond theme. I think it suits the brand quite well :

It's a movie soundtrack / theme.

Suits the brief.

Mediocre as a standalone.

I have absolutely no idea why this was worth all the fuss.

(I am a movie fan including Bond movies - Don't much care for music except as white noise while driving).

As someone mentioned on another thread Supremacy by Muse is bang on for a 007 theme.
However I think Adele has done a good job.

Pale imitation of Bassey imho, doesn't show Adele off for some reason.

Having just listened to the new Muse album and also the Adele track I can't help thinking that 'Supremacy', the first track on their album, has James Bond theme written all over it...orchestra, sinuous bass line, funky bit, heavy bit etc
Ticks all the boxes for me.
Ho hum...

Hate to sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but Adele's diction is very poor in that number - is she being all "jazzy" in the work slurring or trying to make words that don't really rhyme with "Skyfall" sound a little like they do rhyme? It is going round my head quite a bit, but the movie is everywhere so that may explain... time will tell.
