Long drive dilema - music?

So tomorrow the holiday is over and we're setting off back to blightly from the cote d'azur.... A 9 hour drive.

Now, usually we entertain ourselves by listening to the French Cheesy radio stations on the way up, it's a sort of tradition.

But this year we'vre got a French pay as you go wifi dongle, the best deal when we last topped up was 96 hours unlimited for €9.

As we set of tomorrow we'll have about 48hours left.

So the dilema is do we connect the ipad to it and listen to UK radio stations on the drive or go with the traditional French Cheese?

I am a big fan of radio 4 / radio 4 extra / radio five . Obviously depends on which programmes are on

Tried something similar to this a couple of months ago coming up the Meridien from the Med to the Loire Valley, gave up after a while due to the intermittent, crappy coverage.

Corin Denton does a bunch of podcasts, about an hour long each. Would be decent for a long drive.

This. Find some podcasts to download rather than stream live.

Do what I do on any drive longer than about 20 minutes - chuck a stack of CD's in the car* than you can lkisten to your own choice of music rather than some moronic DJ's.

(ETA - sorry I was writing for my own generation there - you younger folk would obviously programme an Ipod or whatever it is you do with these new fangled things.)

CDs??? you modern man... back in the day I remember 8tracks!!

Anyway, we tried streaming and it didn't work too well so went with La Fromage!!
