Where to sell 1976 Fender Twin Reverb ?
Discussion
I was going to put it on ebay but its too heavy to ship i think. Are ebay and gumtree the most popular site for selling used kit ?
If anyone is interested here, its a 1976 Silverface with the orange JBL speakers ( best ). I have had it for over 20 years but its just far too loud and heavy. Missus wants me to get a smaller more sensible amp and i cant really argue againt it... my Wembley days are over.
It was fully re-valved with Svetlanas and given a good going over by Scales Music Edinburgh, around 3 years ago.
Its a beast and is in the North East.

May be worth doing the free ads locally too - you're away from London which seems to be prime amp buying territory.
If you're trading down, can I suggest a Hot Rod Deluxe? It's a 1x12 and nominally 45 watts, but it still sounds nice at bedroom volumes. While it's a bit more manageable at bedroom volumes, it's still plenty loud enough to cut it on a big stage, should you ever feel the need (I've roadied a bit this summer and a lot of bands are using them).

Nationiwide delivery for big and heavy stuff isn't necessarily a hassle or a high cost.
We recently had a couple of new sofas shipped from Glasgow to London for about £50. We used this site to get the best quote.

So you could stick it on EBay for Collection or Request Shipping Quote

And how old are you? Keep it, you'll retire one day and wish you still had that amp, to relive your youth. If anyone is interested here, its a 1976 Silverface with the orange JBL speakers ( best ). Honestly though, a Twin really is too much amp for every circumstance I've been in - going from pubs, through nightclubs, sports halls, right up to 20,000 capacity arenas, I've never been anywhere where there's been a need for that much volume.
Exactly - its total overkill - i do love it for its insanity, looks, sound & history, but its size/weight and the fact it never gets used like it should, mean that it has to be sold.I was planning to go for a Vox AC4TV so i can actually drive a tube for once !
