Just bought tickets to see them in Wolverhampton next December. Anyone else out there in Pistonhead land that likes 'em?

I liked them up until 'The 11th hour' LP they became a bit too shiny n 80's afterwards for me.

Wings of Heaven was the last one I bought. Saw them live a few times, always put on a good show.

No clue what they're up to now mind or how it compares to older stuff.

Don't you need a burly moustache to support this music? Higgins would insist, I am sure...

First band I saw live - Marquee, Wardour Street - around 1984.

Only last week picked up their greatest hits for £3 in ASDA and is my CD of choice in the car!

I saw them in 1981 at Hull Tower, played the shortest main set that I've ever heard, about 50 mins, even Ritchie Blackmore in a strop could manage more than that! were quite good though!

I liked them around their 'just like an arrow' days.

Haven't heard much from them since. Is that a long time ago? headache

They are still going strong, releasing albums and touring pretty regularly. Some of the later stuff isn't too bad at all - Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow is one of my favourites and well worth a listen.

I saw them last year in Oxford, very good, although it's now only Bob Catley and (can't remember the gutarists name) left from the original band they do have Harry from Thunder on drums and they sound great, last years The Visitation album is great along with Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow which was also very good, got a new album coming later this year.

Yep. I like Magnum. Is anyone listening to their new album "Sacred Blood 'Divine' Lies"?

Saw them in Manchester in 1985 (I think) - had ringing in the ears for a fortnight afterwards :-)
