Depeche Mode SACD's available from MUTE
Discussion
Super Audio Compact Disc. Touted as a replacement for CD by Sony it stalled commercially although it is still popular and discs are sought after as the quality of the disc's is generally superior to CD. Quite a lot og Blu-Ray players play them as well. The Depeche Mode Discs were re-mastered and given a package of extras hence their popularity.
aah...good info cheers. i actually recently re-bought some great reward remastered and it did polish it up a bit.
if you have an 80's tilt like me you might not know it but nik kershaw has just re-released human racing as a 2 disc remastered affair.disc 2 is loads of b sides and extended remixes.well worth having

I keep my eyes open on these as I missed them first time around. I do have "Some Great Reward", "Black Celebration" and "Playing the Angel" already on SACD and now get the Special Editions when they come out including the Box set of "Sounds of the Universe" which is a Hefty set of disc's and extras. I'd recommend "Paper Monsters" and "Hourglass" which are Dave Gahan Solo albums and are "darker" than Depeche Mode's current output. I do have Martin Gore's Albums as well but they are very different.
