Afrobeat?

Ever since hearing Fela Kuti & Femi Kuti randomly afew years ago I've been hooked on afrobeat as I've always liked jazz and funk, so its been a perfect mix.
However I only know of the Kuti's.

Anyone here care to suggest me any artists or bands worth listening to?I would really love to expand my knowledge of afrobeat/get into it more. Additionaly, if anyone knows of any venues in london that is a good place for afrobeat music (live band etc), or if there any sort of afrobeat festivals I'd appriciate that too. any resources!

Ali & Toumani - Ali Farka Toure & Toumani Diabate is a great record, recorded after Toure's death. I also love Amadou & mariam, Welcome to Mali is the album, the first track on it was produced by Damon Albarn.
