Forgive the Finbarr Saunders tomfoolery, but I couldn't resist it. I have a problem with the volume control on my Strat - it's a bit too easy to turn, with the result that I'm forever knocking it up too much or down too much when I'm playing.

I thought about putting something between the base of the knob and the scratchplate to add a bit of friction, but it seemed like a bit of a bodge to me. I don't really want to replace the volume pot as (a) it's a lovely silky crackle-free pot, and (b) it's one of those EMG David Gilmour spec setups.

Pull your knob off (biggrin) and put some sticky backed felt on the back of it? Should work.

That's a good idea! That way it won't scratch the scratchplate - although that is what it's there for I suppose....
