Adventures beyond the ultraworld is the famous album, but there are loads of recordings to choose from. Perpetual dawn is my favourite. Bear in mind though, publicly declaring yourslf an Orb fan is tantamount to admitting an acute marijuana addiction!

Well, ahem... cough cough... Back in the day - I had that song on tape, if that sheds a little light as to just how long ago!

I saw The Orb a good few times back in the day. Unfortunately, my CD were stolen in 1998 so I can't remember what they are all called. I think there's one called Oxbow Lakes, but as mentioned previously, 'Adventures Beyond...is the one to go for.
They also played one or two tours with quadraphinic sound. That was an experience.

Reminds me of someone describing Lemon Jelly. "Music for drug takers by drug takers who probably made it having taken drugs!"

Amazing how much Lemon Jelly is used as incidental music on TV though

Did you know that this was originally intended to be released as an official remix of Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene 8 but Jarre rejected it as being too removed from the original.

The Orb then released it anyway as Toxygene!
