You know the score. Eight tracks, then you have to choose your favourite.
You also get the Bible (or other appropriate religious or philosophical text), the Complete Works of Shakespeare and you can choose one other book and one luxury item (which must be inanimate and of no use in escaping the island or allowing communication from outside).
1. Adagio for strings (Barber). Moves me to tears almost every time I hear it.
2. O Mio babbino Caro (Puccini). Mrs Dibble's wedding entrance music (and also my parents').
3. If I Had a $1000000 (Barenaked Ladies). Our wedding "exit" music.
4. Sultans of Swing (Dire Straits). Sorry.
5. Moie Je Joue (Brigitte Bardot). Always makes me laugh and think of ski trips past.
6. Heartbeats (Jose Gonzalez). Reminds me of a great trip to Oz.
7. Don't Ever (Missy Higgins). Ditto the Oz trip.
8. Empire State of Mind (Jay-Z feat Alicia Keys). 40th trip to New York.
My track would be "If I had $1000000", the book would be The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and my luxury would have to be a decent set of kitchen knives and steel.
