2019 we stayed in camping that was a bit away from the main areas, can't remember the name of the site but it was billed as being "quieter", the campsite loos were cleaned out early every morning, I'm a regular morning man so it worked for me!

The overall lineup is bang average this year however I still would have loved to go as its just the whole atmosphere that's great, all is not lost though we've Green Day on Saturday and King's of Leon on Sunday.

I hope everyone has a great time in Somerset though.
Can't see anything about Green Day or Kings of Leon for this year, you sure?

Think he's going to their gigs elsewhere over the weekend :-)

laugh

That's amused me. Sometimes the obvious answer just isn't obvious.

I take my skiing daypack with me, an ancient Salomon thing that has had more beer and mud thrown at it than I care to think about. I like to carry a fair few cans with me, taking full advantage of not being forced to buy at the bar like most other festivals. Small advantage is that your bag gets lighter the more you drink! hehe

Remember you can use the many property lock up tents for free (small donation to CND who run them, if you wish) if you don't want to be saddled with a bag all day.
Thanks, this will be the plan. A plan which relies on me remembering to pick up the bag before going back to the caravan, which is, unfortunately, very far from guaranteed!

I've never been, hope one day I might go, we'll see.

I do wonder what do the hundreds/thousands of people who are right in the middle of a HUGE crowd at the big stages do if they need the loo? I'm assuming some blokes just piss on the floor? But can't imagine everyone is keen to do that, and not so easy for the women? I'm assuming it's one hell of a mission to get out of that crowd, let alone back to where your mates were?

I think that's what the incredibly annoying Wolves F.C. etc flags are for.

I know the crowd looks huge, and to fair it is; but I can normally make it to the gents at the side of the stage and back to my chums without any problems. But I am more of a hang towards the back kind of festival attendee. It's also possible to get to the bar and back with 6+ pints. Not sure about the people right at the front, maybe they just sweat it out, they're certainly not visiting the bar either. So maybe that helps.

Makes sense, think you'd find me near the back with you then!

How long before you can see full set highlights? For example if I want to watch the LCD set but can’t watch live or record, is it available on iPlayer immediately or next day?

Same here - saw this was on, couldn't resist. Some serious nostalgia here. They're playing Rotterdam right now, which I used to use all the time as a slow tune for teaching modern jive when it was released.

Enjoyed that, he’s always good value. Slim pickings for the rest of the evening. Maybe Dexys.

Was enjoying Paul Heaton, voice is still good after all these years. Had to pop out to acquire a small child. (Mine, just to be clear).

Looking forward to LCD soundsystem and will probably have on Due Lipa in the background, not really my thing but I've heard she's good. Anne Marie is on the Other stage at 18:45, she's good, but slim picking today.

Straight away. You can pick a stage live and rewind to the start of the day and see everything.
