Agreed. They are one of the few 'signature guitars' that are instantly recognisable and were built to meet a particular artist's requirements, rather than being (say) just a custom colour of an existing mainstream model.

Ok, some thoughts back to back N2 to N4.

Weight about the same. Neck profile is identical. I prefer the inlays on the N2. The finish is better on the N4 (duh). Unplugged the N4 has better resonance. The main difference apart from setup is the cutaway on the N4 so you don’t feel the heel in your palm when you’re playing there.

Plugged in - much the same? Haven’t had a chance to turn it up much. The N2 has split coils though, the ‘4 doesn’t?

Overall - the price of the N2 is a bargain compared to the N4 but there’s no price on what the heart wants.

Never really paid attention to Washburn guitars before, despite being aware of their basses… cracking looking things and love the Nuno input.

Meanwhile, I’ve ‘completed’ my small collection by adding a Japanese made Takamine electro acoustic to the fold if anyone wants to see any pics of that; it’s quite purty…

They are fantastic things, I bought one a couple of years ago and it's the only amp I use at home now. Well, unless everyone is out and I can crank my AC30 but those days are few and far between!

I’ve flipped the control board late on mine though, I much prefer the switch on the other side, and out of the way of the volume pot.

Lucille was the first guitar I lusted after when the guitar bug began to bite. Picked up this lightly used Epiphone one in October to join my old Sheraton in the fold, absolutely lovely thing. Quite heavy, as most seem to be, but very happy with it.
