I thought it was my ears playing up (I wear hearing aids but obviously took them out last night).
As you say, Travis were good but Killers brilliant. I can't think of any other song that gets people going more than "Mr Brightside", truly is an iconic hit.
Think from the Travis pic, you might have been quite close to me then.

I was right on the yellow line, and over it for a lot of the time, a little to your left hand side, stood in front of the wheelchair area. I'm tall, wide, and had a vivid blue tshirt on.
Crap picture but might give you an idea.

not been to many concerts but I'm really looking forward to seeing possibly my favourite band Korn in August
Seems a bit weird though because it's held outside in a court yard type area in Halifax from what I remember.
At the Piece Hall. Someone put a photo up a page or so back on this thread. It's a great venueSeems a bit weird though because it's held outside in a court yard type area in Halifax from what I remember.

Suede and Manics tomorrow at Edinburgh Castle. Luckily noticed last night that the show wasn’t on Thursday as I thought and had booked time off for… luckily able to change it and hopeful for clement weather.
Enjoy, Mike. Saw them on Friday night and both were brilliant. Brett Anderson is some frontman. Saw the Killers on Sunday night. 10/10. What a front man Brandon is! Such presence with no arrogance at all. Have decided I need more Killers shows in my life so have booked to see them in Mexico City in October.
First time staying at the Intercontinental Hotel next to the O2 for that show and will be doing that for future shows. It has its own entrance to the O2 and a great bar on the 18th floor with views over Canary Wharf and the O2.
Will be missing the football tomorrow in favour of seeing Cypress Hill with the London Symphony Orchestra at the RAH. Should be a lot of fun.

Being supported by Spiritbox and Loathe? I was seriously tempted by the London gig, that's some line up. Seems a bit weird though because it's held outside in a court yard type area in Halifax from what I remember.

I'm heading through from Glasgow for this too - I thought we were meant to be the wet City but its not looking great weather-wise for Edinburgh night tomorrow for an outdoor gig!yellowbentines said:

Well Suede and the Manics at Edinburgh Castle exceeded expectations last night.
Both bands still have it, great setlists, and Brett Anderson did a great job of trying to warm up a rather lacklustre crowd - full of energy even if he wasn't getting it back!
Yes it was good, and even dodged the rain, although we got it on the way home. Both bands still have it, great setlists, and Brett Anderson did a great job of trying to warm up a rather lacklustre crowd - full of energy even if he wasn't getting it back!
My preference is for Suede, Anderson is brilliant, but the Manics were good and had the larger share of the crowd.
One thing I thought weird was that the sound was very different - Suede was very clear whilst the Manics seemed rather 'muddy' especially near the start, even though they were using the same PA.
Good night though, and the organisation was bettter than previous visits to the Esplanade.

Glad you enjoyed it. Put a lot of the younger bands to shame....Both bands still have it, great setlists, and Brett Anderson did a great job of trying to warm up a rather lacklustre crowd - full of energy even if he wasn't getting it back!
Was the same at Cardiff Castle on Friday night. A prolonged shower of rain, maybe an hour of it, dampened the crowd and Brett had to work extra hard to get them up for the gig.
