I forgot one. I went to see a tribute band in a small venue in Maidenhead called Oasiz. They were brilliant, so it was a great night out for less than £20 a ticket!

Lacuna Coil at the Roundhouse in October.

In two minds whether to also go and see Within Temptation at Wembley in November. I missed them a couple of years ago when they were touring with Evanescence. But I find some of their latest stuff a bit samey.

Off to see the Killers supported by Travis this evening. The Killers are always excellent. Not sure what Travis will be like.

We might even see Erasure's Andy Bell too. He joined Brandon for a rendition of "A Little Respect" on Friday night....

Tomorrow night - Manic Street Preachers & Suede at Cardiff Castle
Saw The National at Cardiff Castle the other day - great venue, fantastic gig too. Hope the weather holds for you.
Saw the Killers at Cardiff Castle some years ago great venue as you say.

Saw the Killers supported by Manics at Coventry 2 years ago. That was superb.

Best manics gig I have been too was the Holy Bible tour at the Roundhouse.

Killers and Manics are two of my favourite bands. Seen them both many times.

I was thinking of booking Travis for their gig in December - how were they?

Did the Killers/Manics on the same tour as you then, but at Ashton Gate. The one that was postponed for 2 years because of COVID? Tonight will be my second Killers, first Travis.

Would love to see the Manics at the Roundhouse, everyone enthuses how good the venue is. Seen them twice at Wembley Arena, three times in Cardiff, once at Milton Keynes, three times at Bath and once each at Bristol and Bournemouth.

Yes the Covid postponed tour.

Roundhouse is a superb venue. Small enough to get some intimacy with the performance large enough to get the atmosphere. The Holy Bible tour was the tracks from the album played in order.

Atmosphere for the maniacs in Cardiff is always good though.

Yep, seconded, I came away from the Manchester gig a few weeks ago wanting to book to see Travis on their tour. They were brilliant and he really interacted with the crowd.

Travis were good. The Killers superb but three quarters of the way through there was a sound issue, too much distortion that carried on until the end.

LCD Sound system at the Glasgow Barrowlands last night was amazing one of the best gig atmospheres in a long time.
A great venue for it, one of the best in the country, IMO.

Ricky Astly in Halifax was great.
Still can belt out a song.

Lightning Seeds were the warm up act so sang three lions. Which was great timing considering the football.

Halifax peace hall is a great venue.

I thought it was my ears playing up (I wear hearing aids but obviously took them out last night).

As you say, Travis were good but Killers brilliant. I can't think of any other song that gets people going more than "Mr Brightside", truly is an iconic hit.

Think from the Travis pic, you might have been quite close to me then.

Ah, there were too many around us to pick individuals out.

I was right on the yellow line, and over it for a lot of the time, a little to your left hand side, stood in front of the wheelchair area. I'm tall, wide, and had a vivid blue tshirt on.

Crap picture but might give you an idea.
