You would have thought someone would have bought Matt Berninger a wireless mic by now.

Going into the crowd and then off piste over the side railings and trailing about 200 metres of cable behind him is probably not a great idea.

It is kind of his thing though, I have seen him nearly reach the bar on occasion at other venues laugh

Justice and giving me Daft Punk vibes. Awesome.
Yes, they were fantastic, very Daft Punk-like. Great interaction with the crowd at the end.

She always does. And her knowledge of music of all genres is outstanding.

Sad it's all over for another year but I think I remember enjoying watching it all last year more than this year. I wonder if next year is the year I finally get around to trying to actually go.

One of the bands of the weekend for me. What a great, great set. The crowd were ultra-appreciative too.

SZA? Utter unintelligible toss. Even my 14yo, who was freaking out about seeing her live (well, performing live, via the TV) turned it off halfway through and went to bed. Yes, it's the festival of contemporary performing arts, but RnB is best indoors, for a field you need a rock band, IMO. And one that actually speaks to, and respects the crowd. For all my apathy towards Coldplay, at least Chris Martin engages, and it's hard to dislike him.

The National were brilliant, recorded and going to watch it again tonight.
Should have been on the main stage instead of SZA who was a terrible choice.

Did you by any chance watch Metallica headline the Saturday night in 2014 ? Now that was a good set !

They have fixed the issues now so she sounds good now. Sza’s audience is mainly under 20’s.
I lasted ten minutes before switching off because she sounded terrible, but I subsequently read that part of the issue was microphone problems.

Unfortunately the comment I read then went on to say that once her microphone was sorted out, the main thing that you could more clearly was the autotune...

I have never heard about SZA until yesterday when my 16 year old daughter was telling me how much she would like to see her. Looks like my transformation into my father is now complete.

Were you once his sixteen year old daughter*? hehe

*The irony that I too, have now transformed into my father with such a display of gender identification insensitivity, isn’t lost on me

Quite enjoying Soft Play, nice to see a mosh pit at Glasto
I watched from the edge of the Other Stage with my 9yo (we were waiting to get down the front for James), he thought they were hilarious, as did I.

Not sure why they renamed themselves from Slaves?. Ah, OK, a quick check on Wiki tells me. Bloody good band.

Avril Lavigne was surprisingly good. A big slice of early 2000’s singalong pop/punk rock nostalgia.

Apparently it was reported crowds were out of the park into the campsites to see her.
Can confirm, it was absolutely mental busy. My lad and I approached from the Dance Village side, but there was a massive queue to get to the Other Stage area. Fortunately, it being Sunday afternoon, a lot of people had packed up from the Oxylers camp, so there was a decent amount of green space for people to step amongst the tents, or places where tents used to be. Had it been on Friday I think they might have had a major public safety issue.

As it was by the time we got a vantage point to see her at the very back it was barely audible, so we took a stroll up the Stone Circle, witnessed a pagan type wedding there, then watch the last 10 mins of normal time of the England v Slovakia game on my phone. They didn't show the game on site, so there were lots of people playing it on devices, I am pretty impressed the mobile infrastructure held up.

They got a number of stage allocations wrong this year, clearly.

SZA is interesting. She's the 16th most listened to artist on Spotify but that clearly didn't translate to the real world. Meanwhile Avril Lavigne & The sugar babes were rammed to the point they stopped letting people in.
