Weezer, absolutely top notch, what a performance and what a set list !!

SP excellent, very heavy sound tonight. Struggled to keep the momentum of Weezer up, throughly enjoyable though. With some classics in the setlist.
Jimmy Chamberlain is a beast.

Glad you enjoyed and mirrors my view from Friday night - both excellent, but was probably more impressed with Weezer as I leant more towards "bouncy" rock back then. Plus they had a harmonica tech - apparently hehe

I've had Pork and Beans pretty much on repeat since then smile

NOFX in London on Wednesday. Their last ever UK gig after 40 years.

Creeper on 14th July.

Hoping for tickets to Falling in Reverse/Slaughter to Prevail/Hollywood Undead in December.
Rats! Didn't realise Falling In Reverse were touring, my eldest likes them, OVO Arena (crappy venue imho) and other UK shows sold out frown
Not on sale yet.
beer thanks, the band website says sold out, will hopefully get some extra dad brownie points smile
"Priority" no standing or seat price 1 available to buy i.e. more like filling in reverse from the back- never liked Wembley Arena it's acoustics tend to suck unless right by the stage, just about bearable for comedy e.g. saw Bill Bailey there but music not so much. Will have a look later to see if standing or seating 1 is released tomorrow by "live nation" which is owned by Ticketmaster anyway otherwise might have to pass this.

ETA went back in via queue again a couple times said floor standing not available, but when put in "best available" at probably 5th time and ~25 mins later it came up with Floor Standing so purchased, will cheer eldest up when back from this mornings exam!
Price £40 per ticket, plus £9 made up charges, so £98 for 2 Wembley OVO Dec 24

That's relatively cheap for Wembley Arena - I'm always surprised to see anything selling for under £60 there, before all the made up charges.

We didn't get there in time sadly - didn't finished work until 5 and getting into Birmingham on a Friday night is always fun, so we didn't get to our seats until about 4 or 5 songs into Weezer's set.

Heard good things about them though - Tom Morello's new band isn't it?

Wembley arena is also a hole, though the sound is better than, say, the Manchester Arena. A lager shandy and pint of lemonade cost £15 last Saturday!

That's standing, think was £65+ charges for Seating 1, ~£46+charges seating 2, and I want to say ~£30 something for seating 3. The band is only doing one night, not sure how popular Falling In Reverse are so reflected in price?

It was originally an Olympic swimming pool and don't think the changes and 2006 refurb made slightest difference to acoustics.

Not sure I'd want to be seated at Wembley, all along the side, nice stiff neck the next day.

Well, 30 years after I last saw Nick Mason live as part of Pink Floyd at Earls Court, tonight certainly didn’t disappoint.

The very early Floyd stuff was never really my cup of tea, but reimagined with an open mind to listen, it’s blown me away.

The attention to detail in tracks lasting 10 mins was mind blowing. Such a good line up with Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt sharing the vocals.

They rounded the evening off with One of these Days, my favourite early years track.

Well worth a punt… thumbup

Seems par for the course in London it seems, got done sans lube at the Ovo Arena in March, I don't imbibe but no doubt I won't escape ruinous Coke or Pepsi... All part of the experience rolleyes

For draft it's usually £7.50+ per pint for the non-huge venues. It was the can only aspect at the Electric that was the real pisstake.

I'm at the Ballroom on Sunday evening for L7 & will report back re. pint pricing there - they usually have draft Camden Pale/Lager.
