I saw Coldplay at Wembley a few years ago - I think they played 2 or 3 nightsThey gave us all a plastic wristband which only had a single use - absolute obscene waste of plastic IMO.
Hopefully these new ones have some other functions. I suspect the majority will end up in the Glastonbury landfill.

So not just us who thought that Shania’s performance was woefully dire?
I didnt see any of it but isn’t she touring heavily at the moment, what with that and her voice being pretty much done for after the operation she had on her vocal chords after contracting Lymes disease?119 said:

There's been more than the fair share of tech issues this year, and you could see she was struggling with her in ear monitors. Edited by bobthemonkey on Sunday 30th June 19:17

So far my favourites been Paul Heaton, the blonde lass is a good substitute for Jackie.
I though Heaton's girl singer was dreadful, and he wasn't all that good himself- still fluffing words even with a huge lyric screen at his feet.bobthemonkey said:

Coldplay wrist bands are supposed to be handed in to stewards after the performance (true) This is so Chris can remove the rechargeable batteries and pop them on charge in his shed using wind power from his personal wind farm for the next gig.

Just catching up, looks like it's been a terrific weekend, perfect weather and plenty of moments.
They were wonderful ! I love a band that gets involved. Crowd surfing is a dying art but if you're going to do it, do it at Glastonbury. ![love](/inc/images/love.gif)
Avril Lavigne Melissa Vandella gave good Glasto, a terrible BBC interview but the girls in the audience just loved her set.
Shania Twain... too used to performing for adoring American audiences? Glastonbury looked underwhelmed and I'm not convinced she captured the spirit.

Been at Brands Hatch all day, very good, slightly sunburnt, I heard Avril Lavigne smashed it. Now currently enjoying Two door cinema club with a glass of wine. Might watch SZA out of curiosity as I have not heard her or anything by her, but then toss up between The National on the other stage or a random lucky dip!

Unfortunate enough to catch a bit of Shania Twain. Appreciate she has had voice issues, but most shocking was literally a baby being shaken in the crowd during feels like a woman… I’m all for people having fun, but hopefully at least their relatives will pick them up for it.
I saw that and could not believe it SydneyBridge said:

I saw that and could not believe it They should have been asked to leave. A kid of that age simply shouldn't be exposed to that sound pressure for fear of permanent damage.
