That’s reminded me of Under the bridge by All Saints. Also horrendous.

I came here to nominate that one. made 10x worse that it was written by Anthony Kiedis, remembering times with his deceased bandmate.

I know its not quite what this thread is about but Skala & Kolacny Brothers at the MaDiWoDo VrijdagShow 12 years ago is brilliant and the stereophonics version is better than The Rod Stewart version.I have also just listened to the Chris Farlowe version from 1966 which is also brilliant.

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - Covered by William Shatner (Captain Kirk).

Florence + The Machine doing ‘You Got The Love’

The Candi Staton original is an absolutely classic vocal which is sung with soul, subtlety and feeling - Florence just goes ahead and shouts all over it.

Agreed, nicely done.

I don’t like Nouvelle Vague’s cover of LWTUAA either but I think their version of Bizarre Love Triangle is great.

The version by fall out boy is worse

To add a few more

The happy Mondays cover of boys are back in town

Travis version of baby one more time

Jagger and Bowie dancing in the street (at least it was for charity)

Korn version of another brick in the wall

Musically, I think that Johnny Cash absolutely murdered Roberta Flack's beautiful "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", but somehow , in spite of his tuneless grumble, he managed to pull it off and produce something even more stirring...so it shouldn't really be on this thread.
