Yes Reg, it was absolutely splendid. I really do enjoy taking a hiatus from here, getting a good feed of whiskey and listening to what you've all posted. It unerringly fires some long disused synapses, and sends me on a cascading mission to post far more YouTube links than is healthy.
On the downside, I get alcohol amnesia and make jimmy-two-times blush by the amount of repetition I post the same tack, I'll go through the thread and tidy it up a little at some point.
It also means I miss some replies I meant to make, which I'll remedy now.

Remember that track too.
Never managed to see Kraftwerk. Have many of tgeircearly albums.
Another track I was find of... Great end of evening track.
Discovered it on one the trance Europe express compilations... They were great albums for finding new stuff pre-internet.

Yes, trance Europe express was tremendous, as was trance Atlantic. Often quadruple vinyl and a booklet.
On hearing TEE, the very first thought is "Millwall mix" and billy ray martin singing, flawlessly, about panties in a tin!
However, my overriding view is one of what I call "calor gas music".
Mid 90s I used to go to a club that pretty much reintroduced electro (and I mean proper electro: AUX 88, Drexciya etc. not that electro-house pish) to the UK. The club when it opened the doors at 10ish (chapeaux Connery) smelt of damp, and used to fire up calor gas heaters to get rid of the chill and smell. That first hour was just the guys fking about, playing tunes they like with absolutely no regard for the dancefloor, and a lot of these tunes were latterly on Trance Europe Express.
Now, I am going to resist firing them up on here, health permitting, until the autumn, as this is when I associate certain music with, despite Regs best efforts to post some db (direct beat).
All that gear is tremendous, and I digress, used to spend a lot of time on the Submerge forums very late 90s and early 2000s, had a few live chats with Keith (Tucker), Rolando, Perception (Chuck Gibson, great underrated artist both in drawing and musically), even Mike (Banks) was there, but Mike being Mike detested any PR bullst and had DJ Genesis act as PA for him (she's a great person and a fking phenomenal DJ). Pretty sure the chats I had with Keith convinced him to put more releases out under his Optic Nerve guise, which leads me nicely...
