Tin Tin Out need to face charges for crimes against music for trashing The Sunday's Here's Where the Story Ends, and what is worse is that they had a hit with it so loads of people think it is the original.
Very good call - that was inexcusable. I'll add Johnny Cash's excreable cover of Hurt. None of the pain of the original, just a sub-Shattner butchering.

Sorry can't agree with this. Not only is Johnny Cash version better but i am pretty sure at least one member of nine inch nails agrees and is quoted as saying he now owns the song.
I'm fine with people preferring the Cash version, but I can't fathom why. To me it really sounds like Shatner but without the sense of humour. Sporky said:

Yes. Trent Reznor who wrote it
Trent Reznor comes across as unafraid of promoting others, which is quite a likeable quality. It is worth looking on YouTube for him playing tambourin for Gary Newman.I never liked Trent's original but Cash made it something special imho.
I'm glad he left Head like a hole alone though!

Cash was a big slice of American mythology. The clips of him in his younger days show charisma that I only wish I could project on stage. You can't learn it imho.

It was when Reznor finally saw the video that his attitude changed. He continued: "It really, really made sense and I thought what a powerful piece of art. I never got to meet Johnny but I'm happy I contributed the way I did. It felt like a warm hug. For anyone who hasn't seen it, I highly recommend checking it out. I have goose bumps right now thinking about it.

Yup, Cash does it better IMHOSpudLink said:
I’ve just checked the whole thread, but there doesn’t appear to be any mention of The Flying Lizards and their cover of Money. A song covered by The Beatles, but originally a Motown record.
That's because this isn't the thread for cover versions that are better than original or older versions...jesusbuiltmycar said:
