Here's one for the Fugees haters then.

I've got one of the original white labels of that tune from the mid-90s with the profanity included. It cost me £50 back then, which was a lot of money.

Another I heard earlier today - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by someone called Yola.

Although when it comes to crap Elton John cover versions, there's no-one to beat...Elton John himself.

Ahem, see my post from Tuesday.

Another candidate from me: Lily Allen "Somewhere Only We Know".

Celine Dion. My first thought of her cancelled tour was good, as I’m not a big fan, but it sounds like her immediate, and most likely terminal, future is not going to be pleasant.

You wrecked it for me, diabolical!

This lot shouldn't be allowed out

They are known as Big Country, now we know that's not possible in year 2022 due to Stuart Adamson having died more than 20 years ago

Anyway, this is complete and utter st

New Big Country trash a Big Country song

Zombie, the Adam feat Amy version.

Quite how a visceral anti war song becomes knocking one out in a car wash is beyond me.

Just tried listening to this as well and i am with you it is bloody awful. So bad in fact that i couldn't listen to more than a few seconds.
I've never heard that cover but it is at least better than the walrus honking original with the comedy repeated lyrics. The cranberries had some decent tunes but zombie was bad grunge lite

Although I detest the original I recognise its legendary status. I can only imagine what that ginger tt on a guitar does to it and refuse to play the clip.

Little Wing covered by Derek and the Dominos. Awful whiny vocals, out of tune lead guitar, some horrible octave thing going on between the verse and chorus, and weird military drumming. Basically an abomination and an affront to the original.

Tin Tin Out need to face charges for crimes against music for trashing The Sunday's Here's Where the Story Ends, and what is worse is that they had a hit with it so loads of people think it is the original.
Very good call - that was inexcusable.

I'll add Johnny Cash's excreable cover of Hurt. None of the pain of the original, just a sub-Shattner butchering.

Sorry can't agree with this. Not only is Johnny Cash version better but i am pretty sure at least one member of nine inch nails agrees and is quoted as saying he now owns the song.

It's been a number of years since I listened to that, and agreed it's indulgent if I'm being gracious. I would imagine though that the studio floor would have looked like a winter wonderland at the time, everything being dusted with a light covering of "snow"

This is one of my favourite Hendrix songs-this version is indeed terrible.
