Doing some sweet potato mash tonight with sausages, with normal mash I'd mix in some mustard or horseradish to make it that bit more interesting, but I've not come across anything yet that really goes with sweet potato, having tried nutmeg and chilli and not really being impressed with either.

So over to you good cooks of PH, what can I stick in it?

Spring onions and coriander. Think it's a Nigel Slater thing.

Some good ideas here folks, crumbled feta sounds tasty, especially as I've got some on the way from Tesco tonight, will see if I've got any leftover Coriander too, sadly all the fresh chillis disappeared into my latest batch of Chilli Con Carne on Saturday night.

Make the mash 50/50 with kumera (sweet potato) and celeriac. Add (a lot) of butter, an egg and plenty of fresh coarse black pepper. Mmmmmmmmmmm

Roast the sweet potato along with an unpeeled garlic bulb, remove the potatoes from the skin, squeeze out the garlic, mash with a sprinkle of cayenne.

Believe it or not - cumin. I was sceptical, but it works!

Went for feta, fresh coriander, cayenne and paprika in the end. Girlfriend asked if there was any more, so thumbs up from us both.

Nicer with wholegrain mustard than any of the others imo.
