Former Awesome Housemate has just showed me this: Professor Elemental likes tea. I mean, really likes tea. :fallingaboutlaughing:

I used to think I hated tea, until my ex not-exactly-girlfriend took me to Howick Hall tearoom for a proper afternoon tea - was introduced to Lady Grey tea there with just a tiny bit of sugar. YUM. Whole place was yum, actually. I really like Howick Hall - perfect for driving holiday romantic trip to pacify the less-drivey partner, lovely gardens and then absolutely epic tearoom. drivinglick

Tea, wonderful stuff.

Coffee? now that is filth, just pure filth, best reserved for drinking at work only.

I love tea. Nothin like Hubby bringing me a mug back to bed at 6.00 in the morning on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Tea cloud9

Especially of a lazy weekend afternoon in front of the telly, with a sticky bun or similar.

I used to only drink coffee, but I find tea to be more refreshing and revitalising these days. And its just wondrous when you're poorly, nothing pulls you round like a hot cuppa.

For a short while there I was addicted to vanilla infused Earl Grey. Nothing can beat a long warm brew with some fresh, crunchy Scottish shortbread. Nom Nom.

Can't get worked up over tea...

Fooled into drinking green tea once upon a time...

Foul, vile, weasel piss from Hades, plucked from the Devil's own festering urinal in a sweat-ladened August heatwave by stinking dwarf lepers with pre gangrenous, pus dripping, stumps and really sniffy colds...

Not keen at all, if I have to be honest...

Agreed, it's for miserable hippies who like pain.

Lady Grey is lovely, I drink that fairly often along with Darjeeling.

I was introduced to Pear caramel tea when I took the OH to afternoon tea at the Berkley in London. Lovely stuff....

You're doing it wrong. Don't touch anything that anyone new left leaning, for whom real tea is theft, would drink. Herbal, Green, Fruit infusions etc. Drinking tea is basically a political act, so you need to work out which side you're on.

I use these people

www.jingtea.com

very much a convert to tea, some of the flavours/aromas are fantastic.

Although some of them may seem expensive I often find myself using the leaves several times.

For standard Teabags I tend to use Clipper's Assam

I used to get loose tea from Mauritius all the time - they do a great Vanilla infused tea.... God it's good - the tea bag version wasn't as good though.

A good book and a Darjeeling is always nice at the weekend.
