laugh Sorry, but that did make me laugh out loud. I love the abandoned shoes.

Looks like it may take a while to clean that up.

Probably, the mrs is doing it. I'm running my whole hand under a cold tap. Boiling soup and a knackered blender don't mix. Ouch.

Mmmm, reminds me of a pan of hot curry earlier this year which somehow did a treble salsa followed by a Frosby flop and landed for the most part on my arm,the ensueing burn looks like a skin graft, needless to say i have stopped doing the naked chef bit for obvious reasons !

Basically when it was blended, I unscrewed the jug from it's attachment to the base causing it to pour all over everything, including my hand.

Brute force failed me on this occasion.

^^^this^^^

but it's good to see someone else has a kitchen that fails on the uncluttered level by as much as mine does.

Hope the hand gets better soon - though rather surprised you put boiling soup in a blender anyway. I'd blend the ingredients first, then heat them up in a saucepan.
Nice pic though biggrin

On a serious note if anyone doesn't already have something similar in their kitchen I'd recommend getting a small burns kit for home. At work we have the mother of all kits with enough Hydrogel to take a bath in! Slightest singe and we just cover the area in gel and wrap it up loosely with a dressing. Takes the sting away quickly and gives you time to assess if it needs proper medical attention. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't and the next day it's healed or at least it's not too painful.

Typical bloke - couldn't be bothered to wait for it to cool down.

I will wait next time. hehe
