Yes I know... just throw everything in a pan and then blend when its cooked... simple.

But I can leave this to do all that and go out (yes its that lame an excuse) but its not like I enjoy making soup like I do bread and pizza.

Has anyone tried one?

Ridiculous waste of money. Soup is probably one of the easiest things to make. A big pot and a potato masher would do a better job.

Similar to the smoothie maker with a tap at the bottom which nothihng can flow out of.

I was looking for YakTraks and saw it... thought hmmm!! How long would I use it before it joins the other electrical goods that I dont use.

However all my Electrical goods get used all the time till I break them through over use.

No the gf is still around, but just in a warmer climate

Just watched the video on the Cuisinart website and quite frankly, it looks like a complete waste of time!

You still have to do all the prep, manually set times, alter temperatures, stir it etc. All it's doing is complicating the process. Plus it only makes pureed soups. Far far better to buy a decent stick blender.

To be honest what caused it was the destruction of my hand blender and looking round for a replacement...

Apparantely even if the blender is rated to blitz ice, it will still fk up the motor... piece of crap

Slow cooker, veg/meat of choice plus stock.
Arrive home, hand blender, season, eat.

Just go and buy a 928 instead. You'll soon forget all about soup-makers...

It sold before I could find a garage/secure parking spot.

Pile of crap biggrin Somewhere on a par with electric pie makers! You don't need a gadget, you need a saucepan and a liquidiser or a hand blender...easy peasy!

That's half the cost of a kitchen aid food processor. I think i'd rather find the other half and buy one of those and get the benefit of all the other things I could do with it.

Thats what Drew ment, she is not under your feet so your bored.

Waste of money if you ask me and you cant go out and leave it, it says it only takes up to 20mins to make the soup. You would be better off with a slow cooker and a hand blender as suggested above
