Where to eat in London tonight

Ok, I ve got £30 a head to spend in Lobdon tonight - dinner for two. Being the prat that I am, I totally forgot about it till no, so no reservations. Something within easyish reach of Paddington would be ideal.

Might be a bit far but I had a amazing meal (quality of food and service was impeccable) at Almeida in Islington on Friday evening.

They've currently got an offer on for 3 courses and a Bellini for £27.50. From the experience on Friday I'd have been happy to pay considerably more.

when I was there with a mate he asked the waiter, upon us being seated, how he was to which we received the curt response "tired", and then he walked off.

Food wasnt bad though mind..
