I know there are some seriously good cooks and foodies on here, so maybe someone can help!
Last week, we ate out at this restaurant where I had the Duck Mole for my main course. It was delicious and I'd love to be able to recreate it now I'm back home.
In the menu, it is described as 'Braised duck thigh, oaxacan mole, roasted corn, rice, corn tortillas.
It's the sauce I'm struggling with. Has anyone ever made a mole sauce?! Anything I can find online mentions chocolate, but I'm sure the waiter at the restaurant said this particular recipe didn't have chocolate in, and it didn't taste chocolatey.

Seems that it's like a lot of "traditional" recipes, in that the ingredients vary wildly and there are a load of different versions. Some include chocolate. But just to take the edge off the chilli... the sauce would not taste of chocolate, if it's done right.

Cheers for that. It looks rather complicated for a novice like me! Might be worth a try though.http://www.grouprecipes.com/30313/basic-mole-paste...
