Going to be in London next month for a gig at the RAH, got some spare time so looking for some suggestions for a good restaurant in the area for my wife and I. Not got any preferences just now so open to anything really.

Where can the folk of PH recommend?

The best restaurant in London at the moment is The Ledbury in Ledbury Road. I think the food is world class and Zagat contributors agree, having just rated it number one for food in London.

Maggie Jones, Kensington W8

Have been here many times, both with and without clients, love the place, pretty laid back and not at all "up themselves" like other eateries around Kensington/Chelsea.

Have fun

is an overpriced pile of ste (imho).

Zaika in Kensington High St is my recommendation. Really enjoyed the taster menu. And very reasonable.

Another vote for here.

Quirky and different but everyone we have sent here loved it. Parents, friends etc. Genuinely is a total gem in the heart of W8 and a short walk from RAH.

+1

ste is a bit strong, but certainly overpriced and overrated.

Another +1 for Zaika. Been there a few times and the food has always been top notch. Try the chocolate Samosa for dessert. Sounds weird, but it is sublime.

(Also, been to Blue Elephant as well and it was not that great)

Zaika's not at all bad. If you want top notch Asian, there's also Nahm at the Halkin in Knightsbridge, but just go to the Ledbury. That place is right at the top of its game.
