We use Riverford. I know they use several farms and the distribution is local franchises but I think it's still very much a family run business.

They have been 100% reliable for us.

Mine are very good. Switched on and efficient.

Seems to be organised centrally and just delivered by the local people. It's a balance, if you want truly local then you will get what has grown (potatos, carrots and something else depending on the season).

The co-operative model is a happy compromise for me.

I've been having fortnightly deliveries from Sommerfield Smith for the last 3/4 months. All very good so far, deliver on time, decent quality stuff, and a good range to choose from or you can have one of their selection boxes.

We've used Riverford plenty of times and always been happy with them, I can't speak for whether they fit in with your personal politics though.
