Hi, recent trip to Turkey resulted in the purchase of "Osmanish" spices which I would like to use tonight with some lamb.

Which cut of lamb is best for a dish like this? It is not a slow cooked dish, the version I had in Turkey use strips of beef.

I will be using the spices with some tomatoes, garlic and onion to make a sauce.

I suppose I could slow cook it..... If I did, what is the best cut for that?

Cheers

Neck fillet if you trim it up a little can be cooked fairly quickly but it would be better slow cooked to let the flavours penetrate the meat and dissolve the fat into the dish for added flavour.

I'd try lamb shanks, or mutton chops if you can get them.
