Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons

Just back from a visit with Mrs Gaspode to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. All I can say is 'Blimey!'. I've eaten in some pretty swanky restaurants all over the world, but I've never eaten better than this. The 9 course Decouverte menu at £125 is just phenomenal. Service was exemplary: respectful but friendly, we were instantly at our ease. The suite we stayed in just oozed class, pure understated discreet quality, and the grounds are perfect.
We'll not be leaving it another 25 years before our next visit, that's for sure.

Been wondering about this place but it not on my normal trodden path at all - I guess though it's the sort of place you go to for only that reason. We'll not be leaving it another 25 years before our next visit, that's for sure.
not surprised at the meal cost considering what starred London eateries cost, but do you mind telling what the total was for booze and suite also...?
It's nice to hear that these places are 'worth' what they cost and they people are leaving delighted, especially individuals like yourself who are not staranger to nicer places!

£250 for the meal, plus wine (?) then £900 for the suite?

On the topic of wine: Mrs Gaspode doesn't drink, and as I had already had plenty of madeira, champers, and G&T I decided to forgo wine with the meal - that could have racked up another 100 quid or so.
